Welcome to Monroe Farm Market Cooperative
Monroe Farm Market Online is an aggregator and online marketplace of locally grown and produced food. We make it possible for farmers to work together to meet the growing demand for local, sustainable food in southeastern West Virginia. Our market place brings fresh, healthy, locally grown and produced food to you, the buyer, in a cost-effective manner on a weekly basis.
Monroe Farm Market is comprised of over 25 small and diverse farms located in Monroe and surrounding counties who produce seasonal fruits and vegetables, beef, veal, goat, chicken, lamb, pork, eggs, baked goods and other value-added items. The farms are family owned and operated ranging from small 2 acre farms to several hundred acre farms. Monroe Farm Market is a producer’s market. We only sell what we have raised, grown or made with our own two hands. Farmers benefit from the marketing, selling, packaging and delivering of their produce and prepared foods.
We deliver food that you order through our market every Thursday, May through October and every other week from October to the following spring. See our Picking Up Orders section for locations.
Farmers also sell their bounty at our local farm market in Union, WV from May to October on Thursdays from 12:30 to 3 pm at the Union Senior Center.
Ordering from Monroe Farm Market helps to build and support our community, and to preserve our precious agricultural land for future use. To see a list of products currently available, Click Here. We are growing and so is our product list. Check the website weekly for new items.

Why Support Us?
- Enhance the local economy: By purchasing produce and other items from Monroe Farm Market growers, you are providing stability to West Virginia’s economy through the support of local businesses.
- Save natural resources: Buying locally makes you an invaluable link in the process of saving resources such as fossil fuels and packaging materials. Since MFM products are from the region of Southeastern West Virginia, the expense of transportation and delivery is less costly on an environmental level than products from greater distances such as California, Texas, or Florida.
- Provide learning opportunities: Locally Grown supporters provide member growers the means to help educate our state about the importance of sustainable agriculture.
We believe that small, diverse, family-owned farms contribute to society’s overall health.
- Supporting a way of life: MFM producers are farming by choice, driven by a passion of growing foods that they are proud to produce. The number of small farms in the United States has decreased dramatically in the last decade. Please help us preserve an honest and worthy means of making a living.
The purpose of this association is to promote and protect the welfare of the agricultural industry in Monroe County and the surrounding region of West Virginia (and) Virginia (Greenbrier, Pocahontas, Mercer, Summers, Giles, Craig & Allegheny counties). Monroe Farm Market Cooperative will assist members in coordinating their efforts and activities on matters concerning production, marketing and education. The goal of these collaborative efforts will be to provide opportunities for the sale of the freshest possible agricultural products to consumers and area markets throughout the region.
